My kitchen wish list is never ending. Struck by a love for home interiors, every time I go out my list gets that little but longer. My monthly purchase of a range of food and interiors magazines doesn’t help – I blame both Ideal Home and Good Food in equal measure for highlighting such a tempting array of homewares.
Last month I featured the Ascaso coffee machine, which I still drool over every time I visit Harvey Nichols food court. But this month, as red becomes the colour of the season, a long standing wish list item has become this month’s object of desire: a kitchen essential which I one day hope will chill my wine and set my panna cotta.
I can picture a red Smeg fridge taking pride of place in my kitchen, and with a whole range of matching dishwashers and washing machines, I can envisage an homage to Smeg design in my own kitchen. I just need to win the lottery first.
