Things that made me smile: February 2016

We meet 4

I thought this was the best post to break my recent silence. Have I lost my blogging mojo? No. Has a house sale, open viewings and trips to see lawyers and financial advisers taken up all of my time? Yes. But I do have good news. In fact, it’s great news. Just a few days ago we accepted an offer on our flat. As you know, I’ve always talked about our flat really fondly – we’ve loved every minute of living there – so it was important to us that it went to people who would enjoy calling it home as much as we do. And it did. A lovely young couple who remind me of Rob and I will soon be living there. I’m glad to say I’m pretty chuffed that our home will be passed on from one happy owner to another.

And with that, that’s the only thing I’m going to mention in this month’s round-up. It’s been such a huge step for us to get this far and now the hunt is on to find our next place to call home. It’s both exciting and scary in equal measure, but life is nothing if not an adventure.

Now the day-to-day has an element of regularity again, I’ll be back later on in the week with another post. Until then, I hope you all had a fabulous February.

Congratulations on the sale! We felt the same way about our apartment, when selling it last year, and we were happy that a nice single woman was moving in…until we found out that she was just buying it as an investment and would rent it out to random people:)

That’s a bit annoying! I have to say one of the offers we got on our place was from someone wanting to rent the property out. I know it wouldn’t be my house any more, but something about it made me feel a little weird x
