Tales from the weekend #3

We sure did cram a lot in this weekend. After a beautiful dinner out on Friday night, we had a long-lie on Saturday morning followed by a walk up to Edinburgh Castle and a cocktail at ENZO, a new Italian restaurant and bar.

On Saturday night, I experimented with an oven-baked risotto, accompanied by a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc, which Roberson Wine sent me. The wine was really good. It was smooth, fruity and went really well with my red pepper and haricot bean risotto.

Sunday morning started with a long run, before undoing all of my good work with a latte and pain au chocolat at Cafe Tartine. So, yet another food orientated weekend from me. What did you get up to?

What’s Enzo like ?? I have heard a few things on FB and other sources but have yet to make it.

What’s atmosphere like and food? / Drinks? xx

I only had a cocktail India, which was really well made. It was pretty quiet given the time of day we went so couldn’t say much for the atmosphere, but the staff were really nice. The food menu looks really inviting, but we didn’t eat anything. It gives us a good excuse to go back though :-)

A long run sounds amazing, especially in the morning. The photo of the Edinburgh Castle looks very nice! I had a very calm weekend. Saturday I just went to the bank and then today (Sunday) I just had a nice day with my husband at the park, it was lovely :)

Food orientated weekends are the best! And I think exercise is best followed by naughty food because you don’t feel as guilty :) Oven baked risotto sounds divine, I’ve never made it like that before.

Need to schedule a long run this coming weekend…seriously overdue.

Last weekend we went to the farmers market–the whole family! It was so lovely.

    Lovely post & picts!

I hate when I workout and “undo” all of my hard work. Haha. My weekend was great. Went to a vegan oktoberfest and Disneyland (Of course, haha. My pass is expiring soon, so I’m going every weekend! This is my last week!)
