Tales from the weekend #1

This weekend was a busy one, but boy did we have a great time. On Saturday, the lovely people at the Edinburgh International Festival invited us along to a behind the scenes tour of the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert. We got to meet the pyrotechnics team behind the event, who talked us through the ins and outs of putting on a fireworks event of that size. It was so interesting and with Edinburgh Castle as the backdrop, it was a great way to start a Saturday.

Following the tour, we wandered around the Edinburgh Farmers Market and picked up some essentials for the weekend, before a delicious lunch at Sygn (those chips taste as good as they look, in case you were wondering).

On Sunday, we put the wheels in motion to start the overhaul of our spare room. Naturally, it started with a trip to Farrow & Ball to get some tester pots. Oh how I could get lost in a world of Farrow & Ball colour.

What did you all do this weekend? Have a great week everybody!

I could eat Sygn’s chips everyday Siobhan. Although I doubt that my waistline would like it very much :-)
