October to-do list

1 Do something good with a pumpkin. This delicious vegetable is in season, so it’s a perfect time to turn it into a soup, a pie or even some pancakes. Alternatively, you could have great fun carving one, whilst adding a little bit of Halloween to your home.

2 Plan a day trip. We recently visited St Andrews and Glasgow. I forgot just how much fun it is to pack up the car and go away for the day.

3 Embrace blackberries. These beautiful purple little fruits are everywhere at the moment and are really delicious. Keep your eyes peeled for my recipe for skinny blackberry cheesecakes, coming up soon.

4 Revisit your five-year-old self and go and crunch some leaves. One of the best things about this time of year is putting on a pair of boots and positively stamping on every crunchy leaf you see.

5 Pay a visit to Juniper on Princes Street. This stylish bar has a great selection of cocktails and an even better playlist that will have you reaching for your dancing shoes.

Crunching leaves – yes!!! Can’t wait until all of your to-do list items are things I can do!

Crunching leaves is very exciting. And it will indeed be fantastic once you can do all of the things on my lists. Have a great weekend!
