There are lots of great things about being a blogger. Having an outlet for your musings is one of them. Having people leave comments on your blog is a second. And, another really nice aspect of having a blog, is when people ask for your opinion on things. This was the case recently when the lovely people from Alpro sent me some products to try. True to form, not only did I try them, but I played around with them. It had to be done.
Prior to Alpro sending me some goodies, I was a big fan of the Hazelnut Milk – remember my recipe for Ferrero Rocher pancakes? And I also consider an Alpro Almond Milk latte a real treat. But an Alpro product that hadn’t yet passed my lips was the Soya Pouring Yoghurt. Served with a fruity muesli, it makes a delicious breakfast, but that didn’t really give me enough of an opportunity to dabble. However, turning it into frozen yoghurt did. Banana and blueberry dairy free frozen yoghurt to be exact. Here’s what you need and how you do it.
Banana and blueberry dairy free frozen yoghurt
- 250g Alpro Soya Pouring Yoghurt
- 75g icing sugar
- 1 banana
- a handful of blueberries
- Add the pouring yoghurt to a large bowl and sift in the icing sugar. Whisk well until completely smooth.
- Mash the banana with a fork until it resembles a purée. Then add the blueberries and banana to the yoghurt mixture and stir well.
- Place the mixture in the fridge for 30 minutes to chill. After half an hour, add to an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
This makes for a delicious dessert and perfect for the summer weather that seems to be making an appearance.0 likes
