I know, you know, we all know, Scotland is not renowned for having good weather. Stunning landscapes and Game of Thrones-esque castles, yes, but the sun, no. Even though I’m well aware of that, this summer’s weather has been particularly appalling. We usually get a couple of weeks of sunshine – not bikini sunshine I might add – but enough to get your flip flops out and leave the house without a jacket. This year, I’ve yet to pack away my winter coat.
Today, it’s particularly depressing. It’s like November outside, with driving wind and rain and it’s grey. Completely grey. The sun has clearly forgotten about us and I’m having a moan about it. So to cheer myself up I spent my lunch hour buying my holiday supplies. From tanning lotion to miniature toiletries, from bikinis to flip flops, Madeira, I am ready for you. And I’m in a better mood than I was an 6o minutes ago. Now if the rain was to stop it would be the icing on the cake.
Happy (moaning Monday) everybody, I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.1 like
