March to-do list

Start thinking about Mother’s Day. Last year, I put on a Champagne afternoon tea at my house for the family, with cupcakes from Cuckoo’s Bakery. It went down a treat, so if you’re not sure how to treat your mum this year, I would definitely suggest doing something like this.

Check out some of the fantastic events taking place as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival. I’m particularly excited about Gastrofest, which looks like a real treat for the foodies among us.

Get your hands on some Rachel’s Organic Greek style lemon yoghurt. It is absolutely delicious – look out for my smoothie recipe using this yoghurt next week.

The Blackbird, one of my favourite bars in Edinburgh, has recently launched its new menu. The duck is to die for and I can’t wait to get back there to work my way through the rest of the menu.

Look out for signs of spring. The mornings are getting lighter, as are the evenings, and flowers are starting to bud. Doesn’t that just put a smile on your face?
