There are certain things in every house that when they break you replace them straight away. I couldn’t imagine living without a washing machine, but if my dishwasher was to break, I would probably put it on the back burner until I could afford another one. It was a bit like this when my food processor broke. I improvised and learned to live without it. But when Appliances Direct got in touch and offered to send me a new one, I realised just how much I had missed having this in my kitchen. Within moments of them saying the food processor was on its way, I was already making a list in my head of all the recipes I could experiment with.
I was sent the Russell Hobbs 19000 600w Desire Food Processor, an attractive black machine with hints of red that matched my kitchen perfectly. The processor came with a 1.5 litre bowl, stainless steel blades and a selection of cutting attachments, which included a slicing disk/shredding disk and dough tool. I had forgotten just how useful it is to have a food processor with a shredder – it makes grating vegetables so much easier, and this machine makes light work of it – I can now whip up my carrot and sesame salad in no time.
The great thing about the Russell Hobbs 19000 Desire is that it also comes with an additional 1.5 litre jug blender. This is an option that my old food processor didn’t have, but already I’ve grown to rely on. I love smoothies, but have always found them very expensive to buy. That’s a thing of the past. I’ve enjoyed smoothies for breakfast every day since I got the Russell Hobbs, and the best part is, the jug blender is really easy to clean.
I absolutely love this food processor and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for one that is very efficient at a reasonable price. I’m also really glad that I have been introduced to Appliances Direct. They have a great range of appliances large and small, all at very economical prices. My new kitchen will be getting fitted over the next couple of months and I’ll definitely be paying a visit to Appliances Direct to help me kit out my new space.
