Hello 2014, I’ve been waiting for you

Happy New Year to all of my lovely readers. Pardon the recent silence, but despite plans for lots of Christmas and New Year themed posts, I decided to take a break from everything over the festive period that didn’t involve eating, drinking and watching Gossip Girl (a massive guilty pleasure, I know).

So now January has arrived and the time has come for me to part ways with chocolate, alcohol, copious amounts of carbs – not the good kind – and my time spent with Chuck Bass. With 13 weeks until I get married and six weeks until my final dress fitting, those eight lbs (yes, EIGHT) that I gained gorging myself over the past two weeks aren’t magically going to disappear. But I have a plan of action. There will be green smoothies. I will visit the gym three times a week and I will use my diary properly this year to keep me on track … just as soon as I’ve finished that last box of Ferrero Rochers. Here’s to a brilliant 2014.

    Oh. Gossip Girl is a major guilty pleasure for me right now. I’d never watched it until Jims last trip to India but now im obsessed.
    And 8lbs? Have you tried clean eating? I did it for 2 months before the Christmas madness and lost loads! I must start again! X

      You’re right Em, clean eating is really effective. I’ve been doing it and exercising loads over the past week and managed to shift 4lbs, so hopefully if I keep it up I’ll shift the rest pretty quickly x
