We had the busiest of weekends. A wedding on Friday was followed by a 30th birthday party on Saturday and then two days packed full of festival frolics. In short, it was a brilliant 72 hours.
If you didn’t already know, Edinburgh transforms into the home of the world’s biggest arts festival every August. We always try our best to make the most of it and this year we dedicated a whole day to hopping from one venue to another, seeing a whole host of brilliant acts.
We then soaked up the atmosphere at George Square, where breaks between Luke McGregor’s I Worry That I Worry Too Much and Frisky and Mannish’s Just Too Much, were perfectly punctuated with the sun on our skin, drinks in our hands and bumping into friends at every corner.
Reluctantly, we gravitated home just after 11pm, but not before getting distracted by a brilliant musician, wowing a busy crowd on the corner of George IV Bridge.
We had such an amazing day, I can’t wait to do it all over again this weekend! Do you have any must-see Edinburgh Fringe recommendations?
