Decisions, decisions

We moved out of our home yesterday so that the mammoth task of taking down two – possibly three – ceilings and one wall could begin. Little did I know that what started as a small leak in the roof would lead to a six-month-long administrative nightmare, further sullied by three months of sleeping on the floor. Come the end of January I will be back in my home, warm and dry again. It can’t come quick enough.

But there is a fun part to all of this – redecorating. Ironically, I don’t want to change anything about my bedroom. Even when the ceiling started to bow and watermarks started to appear, I still couldn’t see any other way to improve upon what was there in the first place. Or at least that’s what I thought until I stumbled upon the Farrow & Ball wallpaper collection.

We have Farrow & Ball paint throughout our home, and the bedroom is no exception. It just so happened that when I was viewing the wallpaper on the website, one of the suggested complimentary colours was already on our walls – a match made in heaven. But it wasn’t meant to be. Since all Farrow & Ball wallpaper is handmade, there is a minimum order of three rolls – the feature wall in my modest bedroom needs only half that amount.

So this beautiful striped wallpaper makes it onto my homeware wishlist. Not because of its particularly extravagant price tag, but because I simply lack the wall space to show it off. Maybe one day that will change.

Oh that is gorgeous wallpaper. I’m a total Farrow & Ball addict too – I’m only renting my flat at the moment but I helped my parents decorate their place with Pavilion Gray recently. When I finally buy a house it will be wall-to-wall Farrow & Ball… so I’d better start saving, I guess!

I have looked at the colour chart so much, I actually know what colour Pavilion Gray is and it’s beautiful! The more I look at that wallpaper, the more I like it. I really need to stop looking at it so much, as I won ‘t be having it for a long time!

I’m a huge wallpaper fan – I think it adds a warmth to a room that paint can’t and this design is absolutely beautiful! I had never heard of Farrow & Ball but this is most definitely going onto my homeware wishlist which seems to be growing by the day! xxx

  4. Ah good to hear things are happening so you can finally get your home back to normal. Three rolls minimum is a lot – though we once bought two rolls for a wall and sold all the stuff we didn’t use on ebay so that’s maybe an option?
